Joy really love Mindy alot. This is what happen last nite:

Me: Mindy, NO. Cannot beat jie jie
Joy: Mummy no, she never beat me. She is playing with me

Joy: Mummy, no. Mindy is playing with me.

Its so heart warming to see them so close to each other & enjoying each other company.

Joy birthday cake. Quite disappointed with the appearance as I expect lighter pink colour cream at the surface of the cake instead of pink chocolate coating. Nontheless, everyone finishes the 2 kg cake & 1 teacher even ask where we got the cake from. Some children had 2 servings as they like the marshmallow.

Hope that she will open her 'golden mouth' soon. Just wanna tell her that everybody love her & hope she will start to open up & warm up to people soon.

Happy 4th Birthday To My Firstborn, Joy

Today is Joy birthday & celebration has started since Sunday at my mum place with a simple cake cutting session. All the children gather to sing the birthday song (Chinese & English version) & blow the candles & my parents were very happy to have all the grand children around.

Joy, Mummy wishes you good health & happiness always. I love you!

Myanmar Maid. NO.NO.NO!!!

My Indonesian maid has left us for 2 plus months & we have gotten a Myanmar maid to replace her.

Instead of lessen my burden, she made me more busy. Have to spot check her every now & then. Cant understand simple English. I can tolerate most of the silly & stupid mistakes that she makes unless it compromise my children cleanliness & well being!!

Last Sat, found out that she did not switch on Mindy's steriliser to sterilise the bottles after numerous reminders from the 1st day she started work! So, I reminded her not to do it again. However, she repeat the mistake on Sun again & I gave her a stern & final warning not to let me catch her again. But tonight, she STILL DID IT AGAIN!!!!! So I told her firmly that I'm going to deduct S$20 from her pay each time she forget.

To some of u, it may seem like a small issue but not to me. Its because Mindy is having flu, fever & she has pooed 3 times today (which is not normal). So is it because of her negligence that cause Mindy to fall ill?? Mindy is just 9 months old!!!!

Many people (Me, MIL, my mum)have try to convince hubby to change maid several times but he is real stubborn!! The reason of him not changing is because her pay is cheap ($340 per mth) & we only service her 2 mths loan. FYI, my mil also cant stand the maid at times, always says that she is silly, very slow, rough with kids, dunno how to coax kids etc etc etc... (the list is never ending). My 2 elder kids does not like her either.

I think I will go crazy if I am stuck with this maid for 2 years. Can anyone HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

End of Breastfeeding Journey

Have finally stopped breastfeeding after I fall seriously ill for the past few months due to lack of sleep.

Having painful engorgement even though i took the medication (Dostinex) to ease it. It cost a hefty S$40 for 2 tiny tablets. Heart pain. Silly me still express out the BM as i cannot stand the pain.

Hope Mindy has benefitted from drinking breastmilk during her 9 months of life.

Mummy love u alot & hope that u grow up to a healthy & happy gal.

Joy feels shy in front of the camera. Thats why she has that 'look' on her.

These photos consist of all the children by me, my brother & my cousin (Kiat Kiat). Mindy was not inside as dun feel safe leaving her 'alone' with her jie jie for the photo shoot. It was taken during the CNY. Like it very much. It also reflects that we have 'matured'. Still remember the time we played together during kampong days & now we have become parent liao. How time flies....

Its been a long time since I update my blog. Told myself must update regularly as my gals are growing up very fast & I want to jot down their development so that me & hubby can reminisce when we grow old.

Quick Update
Mindy is 8 mths plus now (will upload the latest photos soon) & will wean her off breast milk soon.
Zoey is the leader among the 3 sisters. She has the leadership quality in her.
Joy is the temperamental one. Her art work is quite good. Thinking of sending her to art classes.

Me: I bought one for you already
Joy: That one is butterfly wings.
Me: Its the same ma.
Joy: But butterfly cannot fly. I wear already cannot fly.

Zoey 1st Birthday Celebration Part 1

Zoey birthday cake cutting time. She cant wait to get her hands on the cake :)


The cake is from Pine Garden. Upper tier is lychee martini & lower tier is fresh strawberry cream cake.

There is a Chinese saying. During a child 1 year old bday, place a book, a calculater & food on the floor & see which one the child prefer. If u pick up calculater, next time you will be an accountant & so on..... By looking at the picture, u should know what did Zoey chose rite.

Sensible Girl

Our whole family has been sick for almost a month :(

It first started with Joy, then spread to Zoey. While they are recovering, mama fall sick followed by Papa. Then Mama spread the germs back to Joy & Zoey & they spread the germs back to Mama again. Now Mama on antibiotics & hope all will recover in time for Zoey's 1 Year Old Birthday celebration held on 9th Nov.

Since all are not feeling well, we have been leaving only 1 girl to sleep with us at nite, another girl will spend the nite at ah ma house. Yesterday was Joy's turn to sleep at ah ma house (Joy has refuse to sleep overnight at ah ma house & will scream & cry to get her way).

Papa was tasked to bring Joy to ah ma house, he explained (lied) to her that Papa & Mama has to work & she is going to ah ma house to sleep because no one is at home etc. She listened to Papa words intensely. After Papa finished, Joy sensibly says Papa go work, Joy Joy good girl ok.

When Papa offered to rock her to sleep, she says nooo.. ah gong yao yao (rock) you.

My heart felt so warmed when Papa relate all these to me. She is such a sensible girl. How can i not love her & pamper her occasionally.

This year Children's Day was a very lousy one. Joy has spread her illness to Zoey & she was sick since Children's Day at 3.30pm :(

Why i remember the timing so clearly is that we are about to prepare to attend my cousin's daughter 1 year old birthday celebration at East Coast chalet after Zoey's nap. When she woke up, we realise that she had running nose & her voice was coarse. True enough, a few hours later, she had fever.

Zoey fever just subside today but her nose is still like tap water & is very cranky. She could not sleep & eat/ drink well also :(

Joy has almost recovered but the cough might take a long time to recover.

After this episode, i will never let them take stuff which is taken out directly from thye fridge again (especially jelly).

Zoey, recover soon ok. Mama love you.

Greatest Regret

Since stepping into motherhood about 2 years ago, the greatest regret that I have is not giving my children breast milk.

When I gave birth to Joy, my milk supply is very low. At that time, I am not so resourceful to find information from the internet to boost my breast milk supply. I stress myself so much that hubby even spend almost $200 to buy an electric milk pump for me bcos a PD at Mount Alvernia mention that this might help to stimulate my supply.

After many tries, its still not sucessful, so eventually, i heed hubby advice & gave up.

When Zoey was born, I think I have enough milk supply bcos my engorgement was very severe. But I chose to give up without even trying bcos I have no helper during my confinement & my movement is restricted as my 2 births were by caesarian.

Because my children did not have the benefits of breast milk, they fall ill very often especially Joy. She was sick again on Sunday due to fever, cough & sore throat (Developing into flu). Whenever Joy is sick, it will spread to Zoey no matter how we separate them.

I really wish I can turn back time, to let me give them the best of everything. Wish them to be healthy & cheerful. Mummy love both of you, my darlings.

Personal Stylist

Today while preparing to go to work, i chose a gold colour platform shoes. Below were Joy's remark when she saw the shoes that i had chosen:

Joy: Mama, no. (shake her head)

Mama: Yes la, Mama wear this.

Joy: No... Mama take out!

Mama: Then Mama wear what shoe, you help Mama chose.

Joy went to the shoe rack & put on the floor the back high heel shoes that I wear very often. She then proceed to put the gold platform shoes back to the shoe rack.

What can I do but obey her choice of shoe for me.

Toilet Training

We have been toilet training Joy for almost 2-3 weeks. Glad that there are no major 'accident' except for once or twice.

However, she likes to hold her bladder when playing & refuse to let us bring her to the toilet. Therefore, her panty is slightly wet most of the time. So last week, i scolded her & let her touch her own panty which was slightly wet & told her its very dirty (of course i wash her hands after that).

After a few scolding, there's some slight improvement. When she is at school today, she wanted to go washroom almost towards the end of the class, so papa brought her there & u know what she told papa. She said 'she she (urine) hor, wait mama scold scold hor' even though she is wearing pampers.

After finishing her 'small biz', she started singing the ABC song (she sings this most of the time after urinating.)

Zoey's Blabering??

Zoey has been blaberring quite alot these few days. Below are some of the words which we hope that she really knows the meaning of it

Eg 1

After bathing or excited, she will shout 'PA PA PA PA' (have not hear MA MA MA MA yet but maid says she blaber this while i'm at work)

Eg 2

In the morning after milk or when she see Joy playing on the bed. She will shout 'AH JIE".

Hope that she will shout Mama soon.

Zoo Outing

We had been postponing our outing to zoo for almost a month & finally we were there on Sat with Gu Gu (aunt). We bought a similar photo as this at the zoo for $18 (4 pcs of wallet size pic)!!! Feel so cheated.


We seldom had chance to take family pic but luckily we had a photographer (Gu Gu) that day :) How come Zoey & Papa look so serious?

Joy the vainpot with Papa. Im quite surprised that she put on her 'sunglass' for most of the day at the zoo.

Mama finally had a chance to take pic with the kangaroo even though we are not in Australia. Can't see the kangaroo. Its having its beauty sleep at the back.

This photo makes me think that Zoey is at the NDP Parade.... Actually we are watching the new show presented by the zoo call the 'Rainforest Fights Back'. If you intend to watch the show, pls sit below the ropes when u r there..

Mooncake Gathering

We had a mooncake gathering at our house last Sat. Joy enjoys the most as there were children of her age & she was so willing to share her toys with them. We were so busy that we did not take much photos. Joy was happily playing with Gerald gor gor (Joy likes playing with boys) till Lovin & Ritchie came.

Zoey is very selective of people carrying her. So we are quite surprised that she was so willing to let Uncle Daniel carry her without any sign of protest.

Cooking!!

Last Sat was the 1st time that I am cooking for my in laws & dear. I decided to cook fried noodle as it should be quite easy to cook. However, only 30% of the cooking was done by me :(

Reason 1
Cant differentiate between onion & garlic. So mil helped me to pick put the onion.

Reason 2
Maid help to do the preparation work as its the 1st time i cooking for so many ppl.

Reason 3
Mil help to proportion the seasoning for the noodle.

Reason 4
While cooking the noodle & egg, Joy came into the kitchen & insist that I play with her. When I refuse, she lie down on the dirty kitchen floor. So mil & maid took over the cooking :(

Hope I can improve on the next attempt of cooking.......
